In the Andes culture, the word used when someone does a kind deed is generally not "thank you" but actually

"Ayni"

which means "in the cycle of life, I will reciprocate to you or to someone

in the future as a result of experiencing your kindness."

Paying lovingkindness forward is an ancient and lovely custom.
